First Domestic Service Trip: Huntington, West Virginia
Dear Yale Alumni, Students, and Friends,
Have you ever wanted to help change the life of a child and make the dream of going to college a reality? In June 2013 the Yale Alumni Service Corps will partner with College Summit to work with students in West Virginia to provide mentoring for under served students as we assist them in preparing to attend institutions of higher education. Working in a college setting, we will provide both college counseling and mentoring in writing college essays along with activities that will benefit these children during their remaining high school years and on into the future.
All materials for this service program are supplied by College Summit and your participation! You supply the experience, talent and enthusiasm to inspire these children toward individual growth and hope for the future. We will work diligently during this rewarding program but in addition we will tour areas that are both beautiful and thought provoking. We will also meet many compassionate and caring people. The price for this unique experience will be only $500 per person without travel costs.
Please join us for this life changing program in our own back yard as a part of the Yale Alumni Service Corps tradition of giving back to our global community - there are only 40 spaces available so sign up now!!
We look forward to seeing you in West Virginia!
