About Service Trips

Yale alumni have an unparalleled tradition of service to others. From Dwight Hall’s student-led programs to the highest levels of government service, Yalies have given of themselves to change the world. A generation ago Sargent Shriver ‘38, a Yale alumnus renowned for his public service, gave voice to a new vision of global citizenship: that a single citizen could be as important as any institution; that it was possible to change the world one life at a time. His vision, of course, was the Peace Corps.

In keeping with Yale University’s commitment to community action as well as the personal dedication to service among our alumni, the Yale Alumni Association has recognized the need for alumni service opportunities that continue beyond our years at Yale. Joining with University partners and other organizations committed to sustainable service, we will provide a vehicle for alumni to join together and apply their diverse talents in order to serve communities in need.
