FAQs

  • When should I arrive?

You must arrive in Las Vegas on (or before) October 20, 2017. If you arrive before this date, you are responsible for your own accommodations until October 20.

  • Do I need special skills?

Special skills are not required for participation in this program. Each project will involve a leadership team of volunteers with specialized knowledge in the project area. Project assignments will be based on a combination of volunteer interest, community needs, available space, and program logistics.

  • Are children allowed on the trip?

Families with children 10 and over are welcome and encouraged to attend. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate children under 10 on the program and all youth 18 and under must be accompanied by an adult. All children under 13 must have a parent participating in the same service project(s) throughout the program.

  • Is there an extension for the trip?
No, we will not offer a post-trip extension following the program.

  • What will the weather be like?

It will be hot in southern Nevada during this time of year. Average temperatures in October are in the high low to mid-90s. Make sure you bring a hat, breathable clothes, umbrella and closed-toed shoes.

  • What is the cancelation policy?

Deposit payments are fully refundable until March 1, 2017! Please be aware that after March 1, 2017, all program payments are non-refundable! Final payment is due on March 31, 2017! We strongly recommend the purchase of trip cancelation insurance. (Note: Substitution of registration for another person is not allowed.)
